The 2024 edition of the GRANDEN Youth Festival organised by the Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF) this past June 8 in the city of Nitra involved more than 700 enthusiastic children coming together at the ČFK Nitra football field. As many as 94 teams of youngsters participated in the competition open to 12 different categories.

The Youth Festival held in Nitra was a resounding success

“We shall thank the parents for guiding their children to Volleyball and the coaches for dedicating much of their time to our kids. Volleyball is a beautiful sport, and our dream, which we started cultivating some three years ago when we first sat down to organise the youth festival, has come true. We managed to gather such an impressive number of children in one place, and that is something fantastic! We are very happy that it turned out this way."

The general partner of the event is GRANDEN, which supported the youth festival for the second year in a row. “I must admit that when I saw so many children together, I was overwhelmed with positive emotions. It is clearly very important to us to invest money in the youth and care for their healthy development. It is amazing how much work the team around SVF President Marek Rojko has done for the festival. We are glad that children are finding their way to Volleyball, and we believe that there will be even more in the future,” said Jozef Kollár, the Managing Director of GRANDEN, about the event.

“A fantastic volleyball Saturday in Nitra is behind us, and the GRANDEN Youth Festival truly fulfilled its purpose. In total, more than 1,000 participants and 94 teams – the numbers speak for themselves, but the most important thing is that the winners are all those who participated in the GRANDEN Youth Festival. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who was involved in organising the event in any capacity and to those who decided to travel to Nitra as well. We are already looking forward to the next edition and I believe it will be at least as good as this one,” said one of the main organisers of the event, SVF Competition Manager Filip Moravčík.
