Metod Ropret (SLO)

Ropret has been the President of the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia since 2012. Under his tenure, Slovenian Volleyball has achieved unprecedented success, with EuroVolley Men silver medals claimed in 2015 and 2019 as the major highlights. Ropret was at the helm of the National Organising Committee of the CEV EuroVolley 2019 Men in Slovenia – with the event recognised as a terrific success both nationally and internationally as well.
Ropret has been involved in the sport for many years, as a player first and later on as the manager of a number of clubs. His son Gregor and daughter Petra are both Volleyball players – with Gregor a two-time EuroVolley silver medal winner.
