Belgrade, Serbia, November 10, 2020. Zoran Gajić will stay at the helm of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia for another five-year term following the unanimous decision of the 44 delegates attending the 2020 Electoral Assembly of the organisation held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade.

Prior to the assembly, all 15 regional volleyball organisations and associations nominated Mr Gajić for a new mandate at the head of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, which he has been leading since 2016.

After the election, Gajić announced his decision on the members of the Presidency of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia as well as the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors.

Mr Ivan Knežević will continue to serve as the organisation’s Secretary General, Mr Djula Mester as the First Vice-President, and Mrs Jelena Nikolić will remain as Vice-President. In addition, Mr Petar Bogunović will serve as Vice-President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia as well.

Mr Nikola Vuković will be the President of the Board of Supervisors, which includes two more members in Dragan Tadić and Slobodan Ćurčić.

“We have worked very hard over the past four years and we achieved quite a lot, but this is by no means a reason for us to take this next term lightly. Quite the opposite, we need to focus and maintain the good work and do even more. I pledge to do so, along with my associates in the Federation,” said Mr Gajić.

During the 2020 Electoral Assembly, Gajić delivered an extensive presentation of what the organisation has achieved under his tenure and announced his plan for the next five years. Among the 24 points, the following ones stand out:
