Celebration of 100 years of Russian Volleyball held in Moscow

This past week, a special and exciting event took place in Moscow to celebrate 100 years since the introduction of Volleyball in the Russian Federation.

It was an exceptional occasion to honour and award the work and performance of many prominent players, coaches, and officials from various generations responsible for securing numerous medals and accolades, including trophies at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, and therefore have left an indelible mark on the history of Russian Volleyball. 

At the invitation of the President of the Russian Volleyball Federation, Stanislav Shevchenko, the gala was attended by the CEV President, Aleksandar Boričić, the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and CEV Board of Administration member, Lubomir Ganev, 2000 Olympic Champion Vladimir Grbić of Serbia, as well as representatives of several Federations from across Africa, Asia and Europe, such as Armenia, Belarus, Benin, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, Qatar, Serbia, Togo, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and many more.
