The 4th edition of the GRANDEN Youth Festival run by the Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF) has been successfully completed. On Saturday, June 20, the football complex in the city of Liptovský Mikuláš – Demänová once again transformed into a vibrant centre of youth Volleyball. The event attracted more than 1,000 participants from all over Slovakia, with 90 teams competing in 3-a-side and 4-a-side formats.

Over the years, the festival has become one of the most important youth Volleyball events in Slovakia. Its main goal is not only competition, but above all fostering a positive relationship between children and sport, promoting team spirit, and building a strong Volleyball community.

“Every year we are delighted by the interest of clubs, players, and parents in the festival. When we see hundreds of children playing, competing, and at the same time enjoying a day full of Volleyball, we know our work has meaning. A big thank you goes especially to coaches, club officials, parents, and everyone involved in the development of youth Volleyball. They are the ones creating the environment in which future Volleyball generations can grow,” said SVF President Marek Rojko.

The general partner of the event is GRANDEN, which has supported the festival since its inception and once again significantly contributed to its successful delivery this year.

“The 4th edition of the GRANDEN Youth Festival once again proved that Volleyball has a strong future in Slovakia. The atmosphere throughout the day was exceptional, the children delivered many outstanding performances, and the venue in Demänová was filled with Volleyball from morning until evening. We highly appreciate the support of our partners as well as everyone who made their way to Demänová. One thousand participants and 90 teams are a clear proof that the idea of the festival has its place and meaning. We believe that all participants took home many sporting and personal experiences, and we are already looking forward to the next edition,” said one of the main organisers of the event, SVF Director of IT and Competition Manager Filip Moravčík.

90 teams joined the event organised by the Slovak Volleyball Federation

At the GRANDEN Youth Festival, results and rankings were not the priority. The real winners were all the children who took part, represented their clubs, and together created a unique Volleyball atmosphere. Every participant received a medal, a t-shirt, and a commemorative diploma.

The GRANDEN Youth Festival was this year part of the National Sports Week, an important initiative of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee.
