The sixth edition of the CEV Coaches Convention will be taking place from September 26-28, 2025, in Zadar, Croatia! The event introduced in 2019 returns for the fifth straight year since the pause imposed by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic back in 2020. Zadar follows in the footsteps of Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), Skopje (North Macedonia), and Sofia (Bulgaria) – both Slovenia’s alpine resort and Bulgaria’s capital city played host to the Coaches Convention for two straight editions.

The participants can look forward to enjoying the warm hospitality of their hosts from Croatia and more specifically from the charming city of Zadar, a real ‘gem’ situated on the shores of the Adriatic Sea and a popular destination for many holidaymakers from across Europe.

Ever since it was established and this will continue in 2025 as well, the CEV Coaches Convention has been focusing primarily on grassroots-level coaching, career development for grassroots coaches, and related topics – all in conjunction with the highly successful CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’, which is being run and delivered with much success by some 30 National Federations across the continent.

“The Croatian Volleyball Federation embraced the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ already back in 2019 and has been using this programme very extensively to inspire hundreds of children across the country to play Volleyball and enjoy its physical and social benefits,” says CEV President Roko Sikirić. “Therefore, Croatia is ideally placed to welcome coaches from across Europe working at the grassroots level of the game, who will be coming together to enhance their knowledge and learn from high-profile speakers how they can best work with children effectively while exploring innovative ways and approaches to do so.”

While the list of speakers is to be disclosed at a later stage, the event will bring together coaches and teachers from around the world for a unique three-day experience, offering the opportunity to learn from top-level experts, while networking with nearly 200 peers on-site and engaging in passionate discussions about Volleyball.

Unlike previous years, registration will be open to the public, but spots will be limited, so participants will need to act quickly to secure their places. Further information and the link to the registration platform will follow in due course. For now, just make sure you save the dates and start making plans to travel to Zadar!
