Earlier this month, the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) organised a series of activities in conjunction with the World Children’s Day – which is annually celebrated on June 1. With this in mind, the AVF ran a volleyball festival in Baku as well as in other regions of the country – such as Oguz, Ganja, and Nakhchivan.

Such festivals did all start at the same time (9 am) and lasted for a few hours. Children from different clubs played Volleyball and in Baku matches were contested in an area next to the iconic Crystall Hall, venue of the Volleyball tournament organised for the Baku European Games in 2015.

AVF President Shahin Bagirov, Vice-President Bahruz Gulliyev, Secretary General Faig Orujov and other officials attended this event. They played Volleyball with the children and their parents. At the end of the festival the parents and children involved in the activities of the AVF Regional Volleyball Development Centres and clubs were all awarded with certificates to confirm their participation in the festival.
