With the return of children to their schools, Regional Coordinator Ivan Hrg visited two schools in Varaždin county and another two in Krapina Zagorje county – thus allowing the Croatian Volleyball Federation to expand even further the reach of their activities run in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.
The first stop of this roadshow in the Krapina Zagorje county was the Oroslavlje Primary School, where Mr Hrg together with local physical education teacher Petra Iskrić went through the basics of playing Volleyball while introducing the game to some 20 kids. At Radoboj Elementary School, a trial volleyball lesson was run together with physical education teacher Gordan Poslončec. About 20 children from the fifth grade participated in the training, where they played variations of the Volleyball game in line with their age and abilities.
In Varaždin County, the delegation of the Croatian Volleyball Federation visited the Kneginec Elementary School, where coach Hrg and physical education teacher Emerik Večerić held a lesson with 18 girls, who were all already familiar with Volleyball. The girls very much enjoyed the various games that the coach presented to them.
Elementary school Ljubešćica and their teacher Biserka Topolovec hosted Mr Hrg at their school. Seventeen children from the first grade enjoyed the various exercises presented by the coach. Since the demonstration lesson was attended by children who had just started school, and most of them were having their very first experience with Volleyball, coach Hrg started the lesson with various exercises performed without the ball and continued with basic volleyball drills afterwards.
