First-ever Kidsvolley Day run in Saqqaq
News
The CEV School Project activities run in Greenland continue to expand with a Kidsvolley Day recently organised in Saqqaq in close collaboration with the local school leader and Jonna Møller, a teacher who only a few weeks ago attended the 2026 CEV Coaches Convention held in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
The Kidsvolley Day was successfully run in the small settlement of Saqqaq, home to around 160 residents. Approximately 15 participants joined the event, ranging from young children aged five to adults, thereby creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved. To encourage continued activity and community engagement, the net and balls used for the workshop have remained in Saqqaq, thus allowing both children and adults to play whenever they wish.
Saqqaq, known for its breathtaking beauty and peaceful surroundings in northern Greenland, provided a perfect setting for the event. This marked the very first such Volleyball activity ever held in the settlement, making it a meaningful and memorable milestone for the local community.
