The so-called Dragon’s Tournament hosted by ŽOK Šentvid in collaboration with the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia (OZS) brought together more than 200 young volleyball players from across Slovenia this past Saturday.

ŽOK Šentvid successfully hosted the second edition of the ‘Dragon’s Tournament’ in partnership with the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball - Grow with it’. The event marked another opportunity for kids and their coaches to come together in Ljubljana after they had tested their skills and level of knowledge a month ago in Radovljica.

Lots of parents, grandparents, and other family members watched as the young players showed off their talent, and even the mascot, Vebeon, joined in the fun. Keko Oprema Žužemberk secured the gold medal emerging on top among as many as 32 teams from across Slovenia. Panvita Pomgrad clinched the silver and OK Šoštanj Topolšica secured the third place.

Activities like this, together with the support of the programme’s main sponsor in Slovenia, VBO Premium Toothbrush, play a significant role in the further development and promotion of Volleyball. The Volleyball Federation of Slovenia is happy that many clubs have joined in with their own events as part of the CEV School Project. This was the fourth such event this season, and there are two more coming up in April and June, so there is even more fun to look forward to!
