Work has started to deliver the 2023 edition of CEV EuroVolley Men – with Italy, Bulgaria and North Macedonia the confirmed organisers this far. Italy and Bulgaria return to join forces after these two Volleyball-mad nations worked together to organise the continental championship in 2015 – as well as the highly successful 2018 edition of the men’s World Championship. North Macedonia, on the other hand, will be hosting a Volleyball event of this calibre and magnitude for the first time in their history.

Work has begun on EuroVolley 2023 Men with a meeting held at the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg

On Thursday, May 5, CEV Senior Vice-President Renato Arena chaired a meeting attended by representatives of the three National Federations as well as by key staff working at the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg.

We can say that EuroVolley literally re-invented itself in 2019 with the first edition held across as many as four countries and featuring 24 participating teams. This Volleyball revolution continued in 2021 when, despite all constraints still resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland delivered a competition attended by thousands and thousands of fans – which reached its climax when Italy won gold in front of a sell-out crowd in Katowice.

This success helped spark yet another real Volleyball fever in Italy – and the country now looks forward to welcoming the continental Volleyball elite in 2023. Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia all share the same wish and ambition to deliver the ultimate Volleyball experience for players and fans alike. With this spirit, they have started working on the achievement of such an ambitious goal together with the CEV – and fans can already start counting down the days to the Volleyball party that will be taking place in the late summer of 2023!
