Pablo HERRERA ALLEPUZ / Adrian GAVIRA (ESP)

Pablo Herrera has been competing at the highest level for almost two decades now and has an Olympic silver medal to his name from Athens 2004. Herrera and Gavira have been playing together since 2009 and together have become European champions in 2013 at Klagenfurt, the ‘Mecca’ of Beach Volleyball.

Brouwer/Meeuwsen caused a sensation in 2013 when they surprisingly became world champions at Stare Jablonki, Poland. This is their biggest success to date along with bronze from the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Anders Berntsen MOL / Christian Sandlie SØRUM (NOR)

The real sensation of the 2018 season, the Beach Volley Vikings are the reigning European champions, winners of the 2018 World Tour Finals and no. 1 team in the world – at the young age of 21 and 23, respectively.

Paolo NICOLAI / Daniele LUPO (ITA)

Nicolai/Lupo are three-time European champions (2014, 2016 and 2017), silver medal winners at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and a major force to reckon with on the World Tour as well. These achievements make them one of the strongest and most consistent European teams for many years already.

Aleksandrs SAMOILOVS (LAT) / Janis SMEDINS (LAT)

Janis Smedins made history for Latvia by securing Olympic bronze at London 2012 together with former partner Martins Plavins. Since teaming up with Samoilovs, the two have become European champions in 2015 and topped the overall standing of the FIVB World Tour as well.

Viacheslav KRASILNIKOV / Oleg STOYANOVSKIY (RUS)

After achieving international success with their former partners, Krasilnikov and Stoyanovskiy joined forces in late 2018. Since doing so, they have medalled at four of the five World Tour events they have contested as a team, with gold medals to their name from the events held in The Hague and Xiamen in 2019.
