Project History

#GROWthegame

The Volleyball Federation of Northern Ireland officially signed their contract in December 2018 to join the CEV School Project "Play Volleyball, Grow with it". They have expanded activities from just 5 schools in 2018, to 22 schools in the 2019/2020 school year! Northern Ireland's two main strategic partners for the development of the project are Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. Future goals include introducing the initiative to the Greater Belfast area, and attracting more volunteers for the events. We are pleased to present the progress in Northern Ireland so far.

"It is heartwarming to see the children and the teachers in Northern Ireland being excited about volleyball. We believe the CEV School Project has a great potential in our small country and will help to develop our beloved sport at grassroots."
