Balkan Volleyball family comes together in Sarajevo

The 27th General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) was held on Saturday at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo, with the participation of representatives from 10 of the 11 BVA member countries.
The Assembly was officially opened by BVA President Milutin Popović, while the participants were also addressed by CEV President Roko Sikirić and Anita Glibić, President of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Frane Žanić, President of the Croatian Volleyball Federation, attended the event as well.
BVA Secretary General Nilüfer Shimonsky shared the latest BVA activity review and the financial report, both of which were unanimously adopted by the Assembly.
During the Assembly, Georgios Karampetsos (Greece) was elected as the new President of the Balkan Volleyball Association, while Petar Jovanovski (North Macedonia) was elected Vice-President.
The Assembly also confirmed the dates and organisers of the Balkan Championships for 2026, with the final list of participating teams to be completed by 1 April 2026.
The 28th General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association will be held in Greece in early 2027.
