The five athletes elected to the Commission are as follows:

Papi’s resume includes an endless list of accolades from club and national team competitions, with highlights being two World Championship titles (1994, 1998), three European Championship gold medals (1995, 1999 and 2003) and as many as four Olympic podium finishes (silver in 1996 and 2004, bronze in 2000 and 2012). Papi was the chairperson of the CEV Athletes’ Working Group since its establishment in the summer of 2017 until late 2020.
The voting took place from 25 to 31 January 2021 through a secure Lumi platform with 16 candidates from Volleyball and Beach Volleyball competing for a place on the Commission for the upcoming Olympic cycle.
