Prishtina, Kosovo, September 13, 2019. The Kosovo Volleyball Federation (FVK), supported by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and their Ministry of Sport, organised this past weekend a Beach Volleyball Festival, doing so for the second year in a row.

More than 100 children from the age of 10 to 16 joined the event, and according to FVK leaders, some of them enjoyed their very first experience with Volleyball.

The project manager, Mr Valon Nikqi, said that this was a great opportunity for interested children to familiarise with the game in a friendly, fun environment.

“The successes we have achieved at the European Championships, the Balkan Championships and the good performance our teams delivered at the Mediterranean Games last year have accounted for an extra boost of energy and more reasons to work for the development of Beach Volleyball. This is one of the most successful and followed sports among those featuring on the Olympic programme,” said the President of the FVK, Mr Abedin Ibrahimi.

The children, most of whom represented a number of Volleyball schools from all over Kosovo, expressed their satisfaction with attending the second edition of the festival, which they regard as a good opportunity to socialise and compete with kids from different cities of their home country.
