Registration open for International Referee Candidates Course
News
As previously announced, a European Volleyball International Referee Candidates Course (EIRCC) will be taking place this coming May 17 to 24 in Vichy, France. The registration is now open for National Federations to submit their applications to referee@cev.eu.
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:
• Have a complete profile in the FIVB VIS system and have been registered by the FIVB as a National Referee three times out of the last five years
• Be at least 25 years old and no older than 45 at any time during the year of the course, i.e. born between 01/01/1981 and 31/12/2001
• Comply with the FIVB Medical Regulations for International Referees.
The course will be run in English. Lectures, written and oral examinations as well as all communications will be solely in English. Therefore, the candidates must have a good knowledge of the English language (both written and oral). Interpreters are not allowed.
The Challenge System will be used during the course, therefore the Candidates will have to prepare themselves in advance by reading all the related regulations which are available on the CEV website.
This is an opportunity for National Federations to help grow the refereeing community and inject ‘fresh blood’ while growing the next generation of international Volleyball referees.
The deadline for sending applications is set for Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 23:59 CET. For any further information, please contact your National Federation and / or email referee@cev.eu.
