Gernot Leitner (AUT)

The President of the Austrian Volleyball Federation (ÖVV) since 2018, re-elected as such in June 2020 for another two-year term, Leitner is a successful businessperson with a strong Volleyball background.
He is a former national champion and national cup winner and he represented his native Austria internationally as well – doing so with the Volleyball national team (23 caps) and in Beach Volleyball too, with his resume including appearances at both the World and European Championships – as well as at multiple World Tour events. Leitner joined the CEV BoA in October of 2020 and he has been a member of the CEV Snow Volleyball Working Group since 2018 as well.
