The Volleyball family has already shown much resilience and a strong sense of solidarity in responding to the unprecedented challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic. Volleyball competitions returned earlier this year in full compliance with strict hygiene and health protocols and the 2021 edition of the elite CEV Champions League started back in September with the early rounds.
We know we are all dealing with a major health crisis but as a sports institution, we have to continue to deliver activities, acknowledging the key role of the sports industry in the European economy as well.
Unfortunately, the outbreak of the pandemic forced us to cancel the late and most exciting stages of the 2020 Champions League, including the much-anticipated Super Finals due to take place in Berlin. Despite the general climate of uncertainty surrounding us, we are hoping to find a partner to deliver such a terrific Volleyball party in the spring of 2021.
