The Refereeing and Observation Committee (MHGK) of the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) chaired by Mr Aziz Yener, who is a member of the European Refereeing Commission (ERC), recently delivered the annual Preparatory Seminar for home referees, doing so just ahead of the 2022/2023 season. As many as 71 referees, including international Volleyball referees, plus match officials from Category A and Category AB attended the online workshop.

The Turkish Volleyball Federation ran an online seminar for their referees ahead of the upcoming domestic season

TVF President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ addressed the attendees via video link. Üstündağ, who is the current President of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) as well, expressed his pride that an impressive number of Turkish referees have been officiating matches across Europe and overseas as well. They will bring their experience back to the upcoming domestic competitions – with both the Turkish men’s and women’s national leagues regarded as some of the most competitive in Europe.

MHGK President Aziz Yener thanked Mr Üstündağ and the TVF Board of Directors for the trust and support provided to referees and observers during his tenure.

The online seminar ran from 9 am to 6 pm and included video analyses to make sure that Turkish referees are ready to perform at the highest level as soon as the new season gets underway.
