Nor-Nork and FIMA claim Armenian youth championship titles

The 2025 edition of the Armenian Youth Championship was held in the two cities of Yeghvard and Ashtarak this past May 19-22, with the event paying tribute to the memory of the former president of the Armenian Volleyball Federation (2003-2010), Mr Khachik Asmaryan. The competition featured six teams per gender.  

The fans witnessed close and exciting matches as well as the high level of preparation of several teams involved in the tournament. In the men’s competition, there was a close race for the title and in the end, the Yerevan Nor-Nork team emerged victorious after defeating all their rivals. Team KhMOMM and Team HMMD completed the podium in second and third place, respectively.

Team FIMA from Yerevan as well crowned themselves as the winners of the women’s competition, where the podium featured also Team Geghashen and Team Avan from Yerevan in second and third place. 

The top three teams returned home with medals and trophies, with special prizes awarded to the top individual performers as well. 

It is an exciting time for Volleyball in Armenia, since later this summer the country’s capital, Yerevan, will be playing host to the #EuroVolleyU16M Final Round, the first event of such magnitude to take place in the Caucasus country.
