On Saturday, the 21st Elective Conference of the Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF) took place at the AquaCity Hotel in Poprad. A total of 60 delegates with voting rights attended, representing 97% of all invited people.

During the Conference, several amendments were approved, including updates to the SVF Statutes, the Electoral Code, and the Competition Rules, as proposed in the submitted documents.
In the elections, 59 delegates cast their votes to elect the SVF President, members of the Executive Board, Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board, Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the SVF judicial bodies (i.e. Disciplinary Commission, Arbitration Commission, and Appeals Commission), as well as the Chair and members of the SVF Electoral Commission.
Marek Rojko was re-elected SVF President for a second consecutive term (2025–2029) with 58 votes. He has held the position since 2021 and is set to lead the organisation until at least 2029.
Marek Rojko“I appreciate the strong engagement from delegates and representatives across all stakeholder groups and regions. This has always been a key value in volleyball elections. The fact that I ran unopposed and received overwhelming support after four years is a sign of trust and acknowledgment of the progress we have made in several key areas of our sport.”
President of the Slovak Volleyball Federation
“In 2021, we faced serious challenges and internal conflicts. The fact that Slovak Volleyball has significantly advanced since then is the second core value I recognise in this re-election. There are many challenges ahead, but I believe that together with the new Executive Board, we can navigate through the demanding times to come. Volleyball in Slovakia has earned credibility and results, and I’m convinced it will remain among the leading sports organisations in the country. I’m also pleased that we had candidates for all positions, including all judicial bodies, which confirms the legitimacy and integrity of the SVF’s governance.
“I want to thank all clubs and stakeholders for their role in preparing and conducting a high-level conference - a testament to the quality of people working in Slovak Volleyball. This can serve as a model for other sports. Finally, I want to thank my wife, my family, and the SVF Secretariat team. Thanks to them, I can continue to serve Volleyball with heart and energy and contribute to its development at all levels,” commented Rojko following his re-election.
Following the Conference, one of the world’s best and most accomplished referees, Juraj Mokrý, has become Vice-President of the Slovak Volleyball Federation.
