London Giants crowned champions in regional league

The London Giants senior teams of the Little Giants Volleyball Club are a force to be reckoned with in the United Kingdom. Ambitious and dedicated, London Giants men’s and women’s teams compete in both the National Volleyball English League and London League, with the men’s team recently finishing in the top spot and earning a well-deserved promotion to the Premiership within the regional league.
But the excitement does not stop there. The men’s team has a crucial playoff match on May 13 at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, where they will compete for a place in the first division of the National Volleyball League. Meanwhile, the women’s team has secured second place in the London Volleyball League and will also be heading to the playoffs on May 14.
Under the expert guidance of coach Igor Boclinca, who leads both teams, the Little Giants have shown incredible skill and dedication this season. Coach Boclinca praised the teams:
“First of all, I would like to congratulate and thank everybody in the teams for their commitment towards our goals. Now we need to focus on the final stage of the season, the playoffs on 13-14 May, so we cannot relax just yet. It can be hard near the end of the season to focus; however, we need one last push. I thank all the players for working hard during trainings and I look forward to the next season.”
Chief Executive of Little Giants VC, Çisel Ormancı said: “This season has been an incredible one for our club. We have seen a huge increase in spectatorship and a lot of support from the club’s recreational to its younger members where we have seen club’s junior players as young as 10-year-olds come and support the seniors. We are extremely proud of where the club has come in the span of only six years, to see a new generation of volleyball members get inspired to the extent that they will stay late into the evening to commit to the team, chanting away. It’s amazing to see such vibrant energy.”
