During a regular meeting of the Federation’s Presidency, it was decided to submit the candidacy of the Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia, Mr Karen Asmaryan, to the upcoming elective congress for the position of President of the organisation.

Prior to the election, Mr Asmaryan presented a report on the activities run by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia for the previous term 2022-2025, including a video report on the sporting events delivered by the organisation. The report for 2022-2025 was unanimously approved by the delegates.

The President of the Student Federation of Armenia, Mr Hovhannes Gabrielyan, who chaired the congress, noted in his speech that Karen Asmaryan had served as Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia for approximately 13 years. Under his leadership, Armenian Volleyball achieved significant progress, numerous international championships were held, and special emphasis was placed on the U16 Men’s European Championship held in Yerevan in the summer of 2025, as well as on its importance for the further development of Armenian Volleyball.
