Giuseppe Manfredi to lead Italian Volleyball family for another four-year term
News
Giuseppe Manfredi will remain at the helm of the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) for another four years following the 47th General Assembly of the organisation held this weekend in Rimini. As the sole candidate standing for the position, Mr Manfredi received an overwhelming 96.8% of the votes cast by the 3,138 members in attendance. Massimo Sala and Elio Sità will support Mr Manfredi as FIPAV Vice-Presidents for the 2025-2028 term.

The remaining eight members of the FIPAV Board of Administration elected for this term are Stefano Bianchini, Davide Anzalone, Giuseppina Cenedese, Silvia Strigazzi, Luigi Saetta, Giuseppe Lomurno, Giusy Piredda, and Marco Mari. Enrica Merlo, Andrea Abbiati and Antonella Di Cesare will represent the athletes, with Vincenzo Santomassimo taking the spot for another group of key stakeholders, the coaches.
“I am very happy to see so many people at this General Assembly. I very much hope to continue to work as I have done this far. My priority is to liaise with the grassroots, and I count on the Presidents of the Regional Committees to help me talk to all the clubs. I would like to thank the members of the previous Board of Administration for their help and support. They did a great job,” Manfredi said.

FIVB President Fabio Azevedo and CEV Managing Director Vuk Karanovic were among the guests attending the event in Rimini. CEV President Roko Sikirić sent a pre-recorded video message in which he thanked Mr Manfredi and the Italian Volleyball Federation for their cooperation and for their key role in elevating Volleyball on the European and global stage, while looking forward to further endeavours together – starting with next year’s CEV EuroVolley Men, which Italy will co-host along with Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania.
