Armenia coaches complete six-day workshop under FIVB Empowerment Programme

From December 2 to 8, a FIVB Volleyball Empowerment Programme six-day coaching seminar was held at the State University of Economics of Armenia. The coaching seminar was conducted by Grigor Ambaryan and Hovhannes Asmaryan, senior lecturers of Volleyball at the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Armenia. The main topics of the seminar were the functions / roles of the players on the court, plus technical and tactical training.

Through theoretical courses, the seminar participants also discussed the correct alignment of athletes on the field, common mistakes made by players, etc.
The seminar attendees were also addressed by the Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA), Karen Asmaryan, who has worked in various volleyball clubs and for national teams for many years. He presented the participants with the model of modern coaching.

During the seminar, the international terminology and rules of modern Volleyball were also presented, and the seminar experts answered many questions.
Separate attention was paid to the most common mistakes in Volleyball, as well as to new tactical tricks.

At the end of the seminar, all participants were encouraged to pursue their volleyball journey even further after being presented with certificates of attendance.
Such seminars will be continuous, and the VFA authorities hope that the work of coaches will be even more qualitative and appreciated across the Caucasus country.
