Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, April 23, 2019. The first part in the implementation of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball, grow with it’ has ended in Brčko. The Volleyball league involving primary schools from the district of Brčko, which started back in early November 2018, finished earlier this month with the final matches.

Before the start of the season, the coordinator in charge of the project in Brčko and the coaches from the local clubs worked on a set of regulations specifically designed for this competition. The project brought together Volleyball players, coaches from local clubs and teachers from Brčko – all joining forces to help children from the local schools to play and enjoy Volleyball.

The finals, played in the format of a ‘Final Four’, involved the top four teams from the league.

The sports halls of local schools were regularly full of fans and school friends, who came together to support their friends in this competition. The principals and teachers of elementary schools in Brčko and the students themselves provided only positive impressions and feedback, so one could see that the children enjoyed playing and socialising through Volleyball – and they cannot wait to experience this again.

Some of these young players have already joined local Volleyball clubs to practice again, and some of them have even expressed their desire to move to Volleyball schools.
