OSCG launch new development programme with seminar for PE teachers

The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) delivered this past Saturday, October 30, a seminar specifically addressed to physical education teachers, with the clinic held in the city of Pljevlja.

The seminar is the first action run in conjunction with the ‘Free Volleyball School’ programme recently launched by the OSCG, with support provided by the CEV, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Montenegro as well as by the Directorate for Sports and Youth of Montenegro.

Olympic gold medallist Igor Vusurovic, who is in charge of the development of Volleyball in Montenegro and is a member of the CEV Working Group ‘Development and Cooperation of Zonal Associations’, delivered a short address to open the seminar.

The focus was on ‘Methodology of training the technical elements of the Volleyball game’, with both theoretical and practical sessions run by Dragisa Calov, who is responsible for the ‘Free Volleyball School’ programme at the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. Teachers received Volleyball equipment (i.e. volleyball nets and balls), as well as the relevant professional literature.

The attendees included Igor Pekovic (Kolasin), Dragan Maskovic, Predrag Batizic and Mladen Miladinovic (Bijelo Polje), Milusa Filipovic (Mojkovac), Stanko Bajceta and Marko Milinkovic (Pljevlja), Resad Kardovic (Rozaje), Zoran Vojinovic (Zabljak) and Zoran Perutovic (Niksic), with other teachers excusing themselves for prior commitments.

Through the delivery of this seminar, the OSCG have officially started the implementation of their ‘Free Volleyball School’ programme, which aims at aiding the development of men’s Volleyball across the Balkan country.

The OSCG have planned for the coming week meetings with local authorities in the cities of Niksic, Zabljak and Mojkovac, which will all support the execution of the programme.
