Historic mini beach volleyball competition organised in Moldova

The Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Moldova, together with the Directorate General of Education, Youth and Sports, managed to organise the first U-12 Championship “Chisinau Open” in ‘mini beach volleyball’ as they continue to deliver activities run in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’. More than 30 teams from seven cities across Moldova participated in the competition run from May 25 to 26 at La Izvor park in the country’s capital city, Chisinau.
This was the first event of this kind in the Eastern European country, giving children a wonderful opportunity to take their first steps into the world of Beach Volleyball. The competition took place in an atmosphere of friendship and sportsmanship, and the organisers are proud to help the younger generation develop their skills and love for the sport.
