Young children from Čapljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, recently joined activities run by the National Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’. Their involvement in the sport did start with the distribution of volleyball equipment to five schools, where school leagues have taken place as well. Some 10 balls provided by the CEV have been given to each primary school involved in the programme.

That very same day, December 20, coincided also with the start of a school competition in south Herzegovina. About 45 students from the fifth to the ninth grades of five local elementary schools from across the region played matches. The event was well organised by the local club HOK ‘Čapljina’ Čapljina, and their player and coach Paulina Kuzman.

Schools involved are OŠ ‘Vladimir Pavlović’ Čapljina, OŠ ‘Čapljina’ Čapljina, OŠ ‘Cerin’ Čitluk, OŠ ‘Lipanjske Zore’ Višići, and OŠ ‘Buna’ Buna. Teachers, kids, and the whole local community are delighted about the start of the project in the region which has developed a strong tradition and reputation in Volleyball, and they are sure that it will help produce interesting and good results in future.
