The official kick-off of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ activities in Bulgaria involved many children, the management of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, the leaders of educational institutions and of the Sofia Municipality for the action run at School no. 81 named after Victor Hugo in the Bulgarian capital.

The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) has joined a large number of other National Federations that are using the CEV School Project as a tool to promote Volleyball at the grassroots level. The Sofia Municipality and the Regional Department of Education - Sofia District were the BVF’s partners on this occasion.

“As we say, Volleyball equals education. We want to help all children gain knowledge through sports and confidence for their lives that lie ahead."

Lubomir Ganev
President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation

The students met one of their favourite women’s national team players – the experienced Eva Yaneva, alongside some members of the U19 national team, who finished second at last year’s FIVB World Championships in Tehran, Iran.
