The Bulgarian capital Sofia is ready to host for a second consecutive CEV Development’s flagship event - the 2024 CEV Coaches Convention.

After a successful run in 2023, the Convention is back to the Balkan country where in the course of two days (14-15 September), physical education teachers and coaches from across Europe, will be gaining important insights on Volleyball at grassroots level.

Three world-renowned speakers’ contributions will be the highlights of the Convention.

Kare Mol, Dr. Ranko Rajovic (with assistant speaker by Rok Tomazic) and Atsushi Andre Katoh will share with the participants their knowledge on how to attract kids to play Volleyball, how to make them stay interested in the game and enjoy it, neuroscience in sports, what the differences between a game manager and development coach might be and much more.

The participants, coming from 37 countries, arrived on Friday at Vitosha Park Hotel in Sofia, and were warmly welcomed by the LOC in a special event later in the evening.

Ms. Jaejung Jung, CEV Coaches Convention project leader, shared with the attendees more on the structure of the event, and what they can expect from it.

The Convention’s agenda includes theoretical and practical sessions on Saturday, a networking event later that day, and working groups discussions on Sunday, when the participants will try to apply the knowledge gained on Saturday.
