270 kids attend first Minivolley festival in Moldova

The Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Moldova continues to capitalise on the many opportunities disclosed by the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ in their efforts to grow the game across the Eastern European country.

In late May, the Moldovan Federation delivered an unprecedented, large-scale Minivolley national festival open to children aged 10 to 12. The many enthusiastic young players from across Moldova truly enjoyed the experience and the organisers take their positive feedback as a boost of motivation to deliver an even larger and more spectacular such event in 2023.

As many as 270 children featured at this year’s festival – thus representing six different cities from across the Republic of Moldova. Moreover, the event provided an opportunity for the National Federation to network with schools, clubs and other organisations interested in popularising the Volleyball game among kids in Moldova.
