CEV President hails productive meetings with elite Turkish clubs
News
CEV President Roko Sikirić and a delegation from the CEV headquarters travelled earlier this week to Istanbul to engage in a series of high-profile meetings with Turkish clubs currently involved in the elite CEV Champions League Volley.
This action reflects the extensive dialogue that the CEV leadership has established and continues to pursue with all relevant stakeholders in order to gather ideas and gauge their sentiment on the current format of the competition, which still holds very much untapped potential. While National federations are involved in such a process as well, the meetings held in Istanbul provided an opportunity to liaise directly with high-level clubs – with many involved in the Champions League for many years and therefore more than ready to share their experiences, feelings, and instances.
This sort of roadshow will continue to involve clubs from other countries as well – as well as National Federations – in an effort to collect as much insights and feedback as possible before moving ahead with the eventual revamp of a competition that features the world’s top players and has become a real benchmark of excellence across the sports industry at large.
Roko Sikirić“Such conversations are always highly beneficial and our door remains open so that our future plans and steps will reflect the needs and interests of our key stakeholders.”
